“Seriti”, a US-built, Indonesian-flagged 25m aluminium crew boat has been freshly customised for surf charter operation. The Seriti sleeps up to 14 passengers (we have 12 beds comprising 2 queen and 10 king singles) on inner-sprung beds in two air-conditioned cabins, with a separate quarters for up to 6 crew. Spacious and comfortable, it features an air conditioned saloon with two large sofas, tables and TV/video/music entertainment area. At the rear of the boat is a huge deck area covered in UV-protective shade cloth where you can watch the action in the water, or head up to the top deck for a 360-degree view of the beautiful Banyak Islands which is also wired for sound. Hammock options are also available.

The Seriti is Captained by owner Katsuyoshi Suzuki. Suzuki knows the Banyaks inside out and provides the best possible guide to the islands. The Seriti is one of the safest charters operating in Indonesia, with a full suite of equipment including life rafts and life jackets, smoke detectors, EPIRB; CO2 emergency fire system; VHF and SSB radios, satellite telephone (available to guests) , and a 10,000 litre fresh water tank. It has 2 x 350hp CumminsTurbo Aftercooled main engines running at a maximum speed of 15 knots (cruising speed 10-12 knots).

The menu is varied and tasty, with a range of Western and Indonesian style dishes including beef, chicken, fish and vegetarian cuisine – Sam our Indonesian cook is highly skilled, so we can cater to most dietary requirements. The fishing is great around the Banyaks so you might be the one catching dinner!

The Seriti operates out of the port of Gunungsitoli in Nias. A full transfer service from Kuala Namu International Airport in Medan is available: see our Getting To Your Charter page for information. Most guests travel to Medan via Singapore (Silk Air), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysian, Air Asia) or Jakarta (Garuda). All Seriti charters run for 10 surfing days, departing on Monday evening and returning on Friday morning. Guests arriving in Medan must do so before 9am on departure date, and cannot leave Medan before 5pm on date of return.

For all bookings a $US1000 per person deposit is required, with full trip cost payable 120 days in advance of sail date. A minimum of 7 passengers is usually required to sail. Rates for exclusive use of the boat for groups of less than 12 passengers are available.
