Itinerary

SURF BANYAK operates out of Sibolga in North Sumatra, Indonesia. 11-day charters (10 surfing days) start on a Monday and finish on a Friday. You are required to arrive in Medan, the capital city of Sumatra early on Monday morning.

Most of our guests prefer to fly on Singapore Airlines to Medan via Singapore and have a great connecting Silk-Air flight (MI232) to Medan. Silk-Air is Singapore Airlines short haul Asia carrier so your luggage may be checked through to Medan so you only need check-in once. They also accommodate surfers very well and nearly always run to schedule times. Some guests may choose to arrive in Medan a day earlier especially those travelling on other carriers. Please check all flight details before booking with Surfbanyak.com for approval as to fit to the schedule.

On arrival in Medan you will need US$25- for your 30 DAY VISA ON ARRIVAL. You will clear immigration and customs (1 Litre alcohol per person is allowed) and met by our agent who will transport you to the domestic terminal for your flight to Sibolga. Once again you will be met in the airport in Sibolga and transferred to meet your skipper Mick.

Departure is usually late afternoon/early evening for your overnight cruise to arrive early on Saturday morning in the Banyak islands for your first day of surfing. Surfing itineraries vary due to conditions-Banyak Surf does not operate a milk-run charter like some other operators.

You will be surfing the best possible waves available at all times in relation to conditions and the years of experience of our crew.

You will return to Sibolga early on a Friday morning and transferred to board your return flight to Medan. Guests may either fly-out of Medan on Friday night or the following morning.

OFF-PEAK (March 15th - April 23rd) - 2150 USD per person
PEAK (April 26th - October 08th) - 2550 USD per person
OFF-PEAK (October 11th - November 19th) - 2150 USD per person

Sjalina takes a maximum of 6 guests per trip.

What is included in the price?

• Three meals per day
• Three beers per day
  (extra may be purchased at local prices prior to departure)

• Accommodation in Medan at end of trip if required

What is NOT included?

• International flights
• Surfboard transport on international flights
• Travel insurance (RECOMMENDED)

• No responsibility is assumed for death or injury occurring during the trip
• No responsibility is assumed for any loss or cancellation due to weather or natural disasters
• A deposit of 10% is required to retain the booking, full payment must be made 60 days before departure, 50% at three months before departure
